Shrinking Canada, one landmark at a time

Shrinking Canada, one landmark at a timeJean-Louis Brenninkmeijer is on a mission to shrink this country, one landmark at a time. Brenninkmeijer is the brain behind Our Home and Miniature Land, an exhibit-in-the-making that aims to portray this huge country in tiny detail with the help of advanced 3D printing techniques. To date he's poured more than $2 million of his own savings into the project, but Brenninkmeijer said it's not about the money.

Freezing frenzy: Cryotherapy makes big promises despite dearth of evidence

Freezing frenzy: Cryotherapy makes big promises despite dearth of evidenceTim Blanchard exposed his nearly naked body to temperatures lower than anything recorded in the natural world, in a controversial but increasingly popular treatment known as cryotherapy. Cryotherapy got its start in Japan in the 1970s, where it was developed by a physician named Toshima Yamauchi as a way to relieve joint pain from rheumatoid arthritis. Unlike traditional ice-bath treatments, cryotherapy doesn't require long, uncomfortable stints in frigid water.

All Power to the People: MMFA's Revolution exhibit celebrates the radical 1960s

All Power to the People: MMFA's Revolution exhibit celebrates the radical 1960sTo say the late 1960s altered how we see and think about the world is something of an understatement, as a new exhibit at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts makes graphically clear. Movements led by predominantly young activists for peace, black civil rights, women's rights, gay rights and environmental rights turned people power into a political force for equality, freedom and justice. The dynamism and profound cultural impact of that brief, creative period is the focus of the MMFA's Revolution, which runs until Oct. 9th.

Drone captures unique view of Ottawa's iconic landmarks

Drone captures unique view of Ottawa's iconic landmarksIn May, a CBC crew got special access to Parliament Hill and nearby monuments including the Supreme Court of Canada, where they used a drone to shoot video and images. The result is spectacular aerial footage that will serve as an important visual archive of Ottawa for years to come. CBC producer Patrick Morrell and videographer Ed Middleton spent three days in the capital last spring to shoot the Hill, the Supreme Court, the Canadian War Museum, the National War Memorial and other nearby landmarks including the Ottawa River.

What are your business needs?

Exposure is an essential element of a successful business. Customer need to know who you are, what you offer, and how to contact you. What better opportunity is there for exposure or promotion than the Internet? The Internet offers full color, 24/7 availability, low costs, and millions of users! Should the Internet be your only source of advertising? Of course not, people still read the newspaper, grab the phone book, listen to the radio and watch television. But the growth of Internet users cannot be ignored. Every successful business should have a web presence to maximize their exposure.

The simple fact is that the more links, which lead to your site from other websites, the more success your site will have. 85% of all users use the top search engines to locate their desired information. All top search engines view each link from another site, which connects to your site, as a vote in it's popularity when ranking your website in search results. Also, the more popular the sites which link to your website are, the more influential their vote counts towards your site as well. The top search engines now give this single factor top importance in determining a site's rank in search results. In fact some will not even list your site until it is linked from another site. The word or words in the text of text links which lead to each site, the size & boldness, and the location on the page where the links are located (i.e. top or bottom) all have varying degrees of influence on both how sites are ranked by the search engines when someone does a search for specific keywords and the direct amount of qualified prospects they produce. Purchasing fixed banner & text link advertising on our sites will increase your brand's visibility, help your site's ranking in the top search engines, increase it's targeted visitor traffic, and improve your sales revenues.

Community Plus ranks top ten at Google, Yahoo and basically all search engines.

Memberships are $79 per/yr including your banner link.
